Po poročanju Policije je v letu 2020 obravnavala 14.592 primerov nedovoljenega prehajanja državne meje. V večini je bilo nedovoljeno prehajanje slovensko-hrvaške državne meje. V primerjavi z letom 2019 je bilo za približno 10% manj primerov nedovoljenega prehajanja državne meje. Največ je bilo državljanov Pakistana, Afganistana, Maroka in Bangladeša.
V istem obdobju je bilo izraženih 4.008 namer za podajo mednarodne zaščite. Število je za skoraj 20% manjše kot v letu 2019. Namero najpogosteje izrazijo državljani Maroka, Afganistana, Pakistana, Alžirije, Iraka.
Slovenski policisti so na podlagi mednarodnih sporazumov tujim varnostnim organom vrnili
10.025 (v letu 2019: 11.164) tujcev, od tega največ na meji s Hrvaško – 9.950 (v letu 2019: 11.039).
According to the Police, in 2020 it dealt with 14,592 cases of migrant crossing of the state border. Most of them were crossings on the Slovenian-Croatian state border. Compared to 2019, there were about 10% fewer cases of crossing of the state border. Most were citizens of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Morocco and Bangladesh.
During the same period, 4,008 intentions to ask international protection were expressed. The number is almost 20% lower than in 2019. The intention is most often expressed by citizens of Morocco, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Algeria, Iraq.
Slovenian police officers returned to foreign security authorities 10,025 (in 2019: 11,164) foreigners, of which the most on the border with Croatia – 9,950 (in 2019: 11,039).
